John Blackwell’s Vater Player’s Design model has been re-launched
with a new name. Originally named “The John Blackwell Matrix”,
the new “John Blackwell’s Jia Angel” has been named
in remembrance of John’s late daughter Jia Kennie Blackwell. The
model design however remains the same for the drummer behind Prince. The
Jia Angel measures 16 1-8” long and .570” in diameter with
a small barrel tip for extreme cymbal clarity.
